Jaljeera has a long history, its place of origin is India. It is one of the most popular North Indian drinks during the summertime because of its coolant effect.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp Roasted Jeera Powder (Roasted cumin seeds powder)
  • 1 tsp Amchur (Dry Mango powder)
  • 2 tbsp Mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • ½ tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp Black salt
  • ½ tsp Dry Ginger powder (Saunth)
  • Pinch of Asafoetida (Hing)
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Grind the fresh mint leaves to a thin paste. 
    Mint-Chutney
  • Add all the above ingredients along with 4 cups of water. Mix it well.
    Jaljeera-Ingredient
  • Finish it by adding lemon juice & salt to taste. Transfer it to glass & garnish with Mint leaves.
