Aam Panna - Summer drink
Aam Panna is a popular drink in North India. It is made of Raw Mangoes and helps to fight against the intense Indian Summer Heat. This seasonal drink only gets from March-end till May end, the time raw mangoes are available. The raw mango is boiled or roast & then blend with spices. This drink has a cooling effect & can be drunk during the summer season; it also prevents excessive loss of sodium chloride due to excessive sweating. This tangy drinking is not only refreshing but is also very healthy.

Ingredients
- 2 numbers Raw Mangoes
- ¼th cup Sugar (Jaggery- Optional)
- 1 tsp Cumin Powder (Jeera Powder)
- 1 tsp Pepper Powder (Kali-Mirch Powder)
- 1 tsp Rock Salt (Kala Namak)
- 1 pinch Asafoetida (Hing)
- ½ inch Ginger (Adrak)
- 1 number Green Chili
- 2 tbsp Crushed Mint Leaves (Pudina)
- Salt as per taste
- Cold Water
Instructions
- Boil or Roast the raw Mangoes until cookedwell. Cool Completely and peel the skin of mangoes. Remove the pulp.
- Transfer the pulp to a blender, add mint leavesand sugar, Ginger and green chilli. Blend to a smooth paste.
- Transfer the paste in a Jar , mix Cumin Powder, Pepper Powder , pinch of hing, Rock salt , salt to taste and 4 cups of water.Mix all ingredient well and keep it in a freeze or at cool place.
- Keep it in freeze or at cool place for sometime and serve it in a cool glass and garnish with mint leaves.
