Ingredients
Ingredient for Pakoda
- 1 cup Besan (Chickpea Flour)
- ½ tsp Haldi (Turmeric Powder)
- ½ tsp Ajwain (Carom Seeds)
- ¼ tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 2-3 numbers Green Chili (Crished it in grinder)
- 1 tbsp Chopped Coriander leaves
- 1 cup Sliced Onion
- Salt as per taste
Ingredient for Kadhi
- ¼ cup Besan (Chickpeas Flour)
- 1 cup Curd
- 1½ cup Water
- ¼ tsp Haldi Powder (Turmeric Powder)
- 1 pcs Chopped Onion (Medium size)
- 8-10 numbers Curry Leaves
- 1 tsp Coriander seeds (Whole Dhania)
- ½ tsp Mustard seeds
- ½ tsp Methi seeds (Fenugreek seeds)
- 3-4 numbers Cloves
- 3 numbers Dried Red Chili
- 1 tsbp Cooking oil
- Salt to Taste
Instructions
Direction to make Pakoda (Fritters)
- Take Besan (Chickpeas flour), Haldi in a bowl & add little water and stir it till it become fluffy.
- Add Ajwain, red chili powder, ginger garlic paste, crushed green chili, coriander leaves sliced onion, salt as per taste & mix it well with fuffy batter.
- Heat Oil for deep frying in a pan (Mustard Oil - Preferabily).
- Drop Pakoda (fritter) batter in a frying oil with a help of spoon.
- Fry it until it become crisp & golden in color. Remove the Pakoda (fritters) & keep it aside.
Direction to make Kadhi
- Beat curd and ¼ Cup Besan ( Chickpeas Flour) in a bowl and add water, turmeric, and salt. Blend all ingredients till you get smooth batter and ensure that there are no lumps.
- Heat 1 Tbsp oil in a medium-size deep pan over medium flame.
- Add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, Curry Patta, and Dried whole red chili.
- When they begin to crackles adds Cumin seeds and grated ginger and saute it for 20 to 25 seconds and add chopped onion. Cook till the onion turned golden brown.
- Add Prepared batter and mix well. Cook on a medium flame for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally to avoid sticking in the pan. Add salt to taste. Once kadhi comes to boil, put the flame in lower to medium & boil it for 15 mins or till the kadhi become a little thick.
- Add Pakora ( Fritters) and leave it for 2-3 minutes.
- Now it is ready to serve with Steam Rice and Roti.

This dish is good for health as Curd helps in digestion because it has good bacteria. Besan is rich in protein content & also high in Folic acid which helps for the rapid growth and multiplication of Red and White blood cells. This recipe is good for diabetes, heart issues, and weight loss.
