Bafauri is one of the healthiest snacks which steamed & an alternative to fried pakoras. This dish belongs to central India & is one of the signature dishes from Bhojpur – Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh. This healthy steamed snack is made during festivals & on special occasions. If you are health conscious, then bafauris are fit for healthy tea-time snacks. It is a protein-rich food made of split Chick-peas, & different added lentils like Split Pigeon peas, Green grams & Split Black Grams make this dish more healthy & tasty.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Channa Dal (Split Chick Peas lentil / Split Bengal Grams)
  • 1/2 cup Tur Dal (SplitPigeon Peas)
  • 1/2 cup Whiole Moong Dal (Green Grams)
  • 1/3 cup Urad Dal (Split Black gram)
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 tsp Haldi Powder
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Coriander
  • 3-4 pcs Green Chili Chopped
  • Salt As per taste

Instructions
 

  • Mix all dal (Lentiles) and soak it overnight
  • Grind the Soak Dal to make a thick fine paste and add ginger garlic paste, Haldi powder, chopped green chilies, and chopped Coriander.
  • Mix well till it became fluffy.
  • Make a small Ball or Rolls and steam it till it cooks.
  • Once cooked serve with Green Chutney or Sweet khajur (Dates) Ki Chutney (Dip) as per your liking.
